I believe in intuitive painting. it’s not something I would have believed in if I didn’t experience it myself. sometimes at the easel, I just paint. there is no process. single decisions are made, one after the other. there is no plan. there is no set color scheme. this painting is a product of that method of creating. sometimes when I’m feeling low, I describe it as feeling melon cauliflower aka melancholy. i was listening to a sermon about a church that was seeing miraculous growth in the midst of global shutdown. do you feel the rift in this abstract cityscape? perhaps the light beats the darkness?
